About the Internet
A series of interconnected computer networks that is publicly accessible worldwide – that is what the Internet is exactly. There are smaller networks that make up this vast network (a network of networks) and they all carry various information and services. All of these are contained in the form of data which are transmitted through the networks using standard Internet Protocol by packet switching.
